The Diode Dynamics SS3 Max Yellow SAE Fog LED Pods are designed for drivers who need powerful, controlled auxiliary lighting in a compact 3-inch housing. The DD6910P configuration is a pair of yellow SAE Fog pods with an integrated amber backlight, making it suitable for custom 4×4, pickup, and off-road lighting installations.

The SAE Fog beam is designed to spread light widely across the area ahead of the vehicle rather than concentrate it into a narrow long-distance pattern. This makes it useful for illuminating road edges, nearby terrain, and the immediate driving area. The yellow output can also be a practical choice in dust, fog, or rain, although visibility still depends on conditions and correct aiming.

The Max power level uses high-intensity automotive LEDs and Diode Dynamics’ TIR optics to produce a controlled beam from a compact pod. The supplied specifications list 3,500 measured lumens, 3000K yellow output, and 38.5W main-beam consumption.

An integrated amber backlight provides a separate accent-light function. This allows the pods to contribute to the vehicle’s lighting appearance when the main fog beam is not being used, subject to the chosen wiring configuration and local regulations.
