The Diode Dynamics Stage Series SS18 White Flood LED Light Bar is designed for broad, close-range illumination on 4x4s, pickups, overland vehicles, and utility builds. Unlike a driving beam that concentrates light farther ahead, the Flood configuration spreads output across a wider area, making it better suited to campsite lighting, recovery work, reversing, and low-speed off-road use.
The SS18 uses TIR optics to control the light distribution and produces 4,200 measured lumens in a 6000K white output. Its flood configuration has a stated beam distance of approximately 77 metres at 1 lux, so it should be selected for area coverage rather than maximum long-range visibility.
The slim housing makes the light suitable for integration into custom bumpers, roof racks, rear lighting mounts, and fabricated accessory structures. At RK Custom, we recommend positioning flood lighting according to the area that needs illumination. A rear-mounted bar can support recovery and campsite tasks, while a forward-mounted flood can complement separate long-range driving lights on a desert or trail build.
