The Diode Dynamics Stage Series SS12 White Wide LED Light Bar is a compact auxiliary light designed for drivers who need broad forward illumination rather than a narrow long-distance beam. Its 12-inch format makes it suitable for 4x4s, pickups, and custom off-road builds where mounting space is limited.

The Wide beam produces a controlled 100° × 8° pattern, spreading light across the road or trail while limiting unnecessary upward output. This makes it useful for illuminating track edges, nearby terrain, and the area ahead of the vehicle. Unlike the SS12 Driving version, this configuration prioritizes width over maximum beam distance.

With 2,800 measured lumens and a 6000K white output, the SS12 provides practical auxiliary illumination in a slim housing. Its TIR optics direct the LED output into the intended beam pattern, while the aluminum construction and polycarbonate lens are designed for demanding vehicle use.

At RK Custom, we recommend choosing the Wide beam when the objective is to improve surrounding visibility on trails, desert tracks, or lower-speed off-road routes. It can complement a separate long-range driving light, creating a more balanced lighting setup. Correct mounting position and aiming are important to avoid excessive foreground glare.
