The Diode Dynamics Stage Series 2″ Flood Yellow Lens is a replacement optic designed to change or restore the beam color and pattern of a compatible Stage Series 2-inch LED pod. Rather than replacing the complete light, the interchangeable lens design allows the pod to be configured with a yellow flood output for applications where broad, even illumination is preferred.
The flood pattern is intended for short-range, wide-area lighting rather than maximum distance. Diode Dynamics designs its flood optics to distribute light evenly across the working area, making this configuration particularly useful for camp lighting, work areas, reversing, recovery situations, and low-speed off-road driving.
Diode Dynamics Stage Series optics use TIR (Total Internal Reflection) technology to collect and direct LED output efficiently instead of relying on a basic reflector. The result is a controlled beam designed around usable illumination rather than simply producing an uncontrolled spread of light.
The yellow configuration is useful for 4×4 builds where a warmer auxiliary-light color is preferred, particularly around dust, fog, rain, or other low-visibility environments. It can also give an off-road lighting system a distinctive yellow appearance without requiring replacement of the complete compatible pod.
For RK Custom builds, a yellow flood lens makes the most sense when the objective is usable surrounding illumination rather than long-distance projection. We would typically consider this type of optic for rear work lights, side lighting, camp illumination, low-speed trail lighting, or other positions where a smooth and broad beam is more useful than a concentrated spot.
