Auxbeam V-MAX 5″ LED Pod Lights | 168W Spot Flood Combo with Side Shooter & Amber DRL

The Auxbeam V-MAX 5″ LED Pod Lights are high-output auxiliary lights designed for 4×4, desert, trail, and utility applications where both forward distance and wide peripheral visibility are required. Unlike a conventional pod focused mainly ahead of the vehicle, the V-MAX combines front-facing optics with side-shooter LEDs to create a wide 270-degree lighting pattern.

Each setup uses high-intensity P8 and 3030 SMD LEDs, with a stated maximum output of 16,440 lumens and 168W. The spot and flood combination provides concentrated forward visibility while spreading light across the immediate driving area. Side illumination is particularly useful when the pods are installed as ditch lights, helping drivers see trail edges, dune transitions, obstacles, and surrounding terrain.

The integrated amber DRL adds a 3000K auxiliary lighting option alongside the main white output. Amber light can be useful in dusty, foggy, or rainy environments where excessive reflected white light can become distracting. The kit also includes yellow covers, giving the driver another option for changing the light characteristics for poor-visibility conditions.

For UAE desert vehicles, the wide side-shooter configuration makes these pods particularly relevant for A-pillar, ditch-light, roof-rack, and bumper installations. On technical tracks and night desert runs, peripheral illumination can be just as important as outright beam distance, especially when approaching intersections, navigating uneven terrain, or spotting obstacles outside the vehicle’s normal headlight pattern.

The housing uses die-cast aluminum with a polycarbonate lens and carries an IP68 rating for demanding outdoor environments. The manufacturer also states a service life of more than 50,000 hours.
